Marbella is located on the shores of the Mediterranean, between Malaga and the Strait of Gibraltar, and on the slopes of the Sierra Blanca with the most famous La Concha mountain. Its municipal area covers an area of 117 km² and +/- 141.000 inhabitants! It is also one of the most important tourist cities on the Costa del Sol and throughout Spain and definitely the most well-known! Everybody goes to “Marbella” while a lot of them will never even visit Marbella.
For most of the year it is a center of attraction for international tourism, thanks mainly to its climate and tourist infrastructure. Marbella and its surroundings, such as the famous Puerto Banus, are the perfect place to discover its many national and international restaurants, bars and all the famous “places to be” such as the beach clubs Nikki Beach, Ocean Club etc. and in the evening the casino can be a nice evening out.
Also a must do for most tourists is the weekly market in Puerto Banus every Saturday morning located at the bullring.
Although less known, the city also has a significant archaeological heritage, several museums and performance spaces as well as a cultural calendar with events ranging from reggae to the opera.
